|
|
No matter what I try, I just can't seem to convince portage to compile glibc with nptl.
nptl is set in make.conf, along with pic. I've tried putting it inline as in
Quote: |
USE="nptl" emerge -pv glibc
|
BUt I still get:
Quote: |
Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild R ] sys-libs/glibc-2.3.5-r2 -build +erandom -glibc-compat20 -glibc-omitfp -hardened +linuxthreads-tls (-multilib) +nls (-nptl) (-nptlonly) +pic -profile (-selinux) -userlocales 0 kB
|
I'm sure the brackets around the flags in question mean something that is significant to my problem, but I cannot find out what. I've exhausted searching these forums and google, and the wiki, but am well and truly stumped.
Anyone have any ideas?

Your profile may have it disabled (i.e., for older 2.4 kernels or on embedded devices perhaps). What does your /etc/make.profile symlink point to? Code: | $ ls -ld /etc/make.profile |
