Hello
I have installed Gnome and then followed the alsa setup guide everithing seems to work. modules get loaded after a reboot.
But when it try to play sounds the computer Freeze hard
The only thing i can do is push the power button for 7 sec to turn the pc off.
it happens with xmms but also with gaim when it try's to play sound.
My card is the es1370 |

Hmm, strange. On my Laptop I had such a problem when I just loaded the modules. I gave up on alsa and used the kernel modules instead.
Have you tried that? |
