try :
ACCEPT_KEYWORS="~x86" emerge gxine
packages can be masked for several reasons, like still in testing stage. |

If you meant you're running ~x86 - make sure YOU KNOW what you're doing. More packages will get unstable, failed compiles etc.
I'm running a few (probably 10) unstable packages, but running an "unstable" system doesn't seem like a good idea - IMHO. _________________ [Server etc. | C2D 2.2 @ 3.0 GHz / 4 GB RAM / 3x1 TB + 1x2 TB SATA disks + 1.5 TB ext. | Gentoo]

If you don't want to run all your packages as unstable/testing, you shouldn't put the ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" in your make.conf. You can emerge (or remerge, upgrade) individual packages like so:
Code: |
ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge <whatever>
|
The ~x86 state will only exist for that particular emerge. Note however, that portage will offer to downgrade the package for you in the future. You can ignore (but should be careful with emerge -u world). |
