Hi there,
While setting up Gnome on my e250, I noticed the following....
Code: | localhost log # emerge -pv fam
These are the packages that would be merged, in order:
Calculating dependencies... done!
[blocks B ] app-admin/gamin (is blocking app-admin/fam-2.7.0-r4)
[ebuild N ] app-admin/fam-2.7.0-r4 25 kB
Total size of downloads: 25 kB

I checked out the gamin site to see that it was a replacement/subset of famd. I thought... Yay, but it does not appear to be daemonized. So I'm left wondering exactly what configuration (if any) I have to do other than excludes in the gaminrc... Is anyone familiar with this?
Thanx Muchly,
Frank

gamin is kinda auto-daemonized - it's called when needed, no need to bring it up on startup.
Usually shows up as gam-server. _________________ Gustavo Zacarias
