I run a pair of older T41 Thinkpads here at the shop for remote test/troubleshooting boxes. I've gotten everything working except the ATI video (The FireGL X driver is giving me a hassle, and since I never bought an ATI product voluntarily, and these aren't used for anything GL, I haven't tried to fix it). Thinkpads are one of the better supported lines of laptops, the kernel supports the IBM hard drive saving feature; I believe it's called APS or something. Wireless in the Thinkpads is the Intel Pro Wireless, which is in my opinion the best out-of-kernel driver, and works great on me. If you get a list as to what specific hardware the model you're looking at has, we can delve a little more into it. Good luck getting it going. _________________ -Shuttle SN25P, Opteron 185, 74Gb WD Raptor, 2x 300Gb Barracuda 7200.9, 2x 1Gb Corsair dual channel, BFG GeForce 7800GT
