Hi!!!
My problem is when I try to start vmware-worksation it pretend to be strting but that does not happen.
When i try to run the Code: | /opt/vmware/workstation/bin/vmware-config.pl | it says that:
Code: |
Tenochtitlan bin # /opt/vmware/workstation/bin/vmware-config.pl
Making sure services for VMware Workstation are stopped.
* ERROR: "vmware" has not yet been started.
Unable to stop services for VMware Workstation
Execution aborted.
Tenochtitlan bin #
|
and then i try to "start" vmware demon, but first i check the demon status:
Code: |
Tenochtitlan bin # /etc/init.d/vmware status
* status: stopped
Tenochtitlan bin # /etc/init.d/vmware start
* VMware Workstation is installed, but it has not been (correctly) configured
* for the running kernel. To (re-)configure it, invoke the
* following command: /opt/vmware/workstation/bin/vmware-config.pl.
* VMware is not properly configured! See above. [ !! ]
Tenochtitlan bin #
|
This is so unclear and seems too cyclic.
Please help me.
Thanks |

Hi
I had similar problems with an older Version.
Make sure "vmware-config.pl" runs sucessful (builds all necessary modules for your Kernel).
After that i simply deleted a file called /etc/vmware/not-configured or so...
`/etc/init.d/vmware start` and enjoy! _________________ Power to the people! |
