|
I want to install snort with mysql support on a machine but I do not want to install mysql on that machine. When I do an 'emerge -p snort' with mysql in my USE= it wants to install mysql.
If I do an 'emerge snort' with out mysql in USE= will snort be built with mysql support?
Thx,

I'm guessing (and this is just a guess) that you can do:
Code: | USE=mysql emerge --nodeps snort |
The only potential problem I see is that it may need some of the mysql components to compile with mysql support. If this is the case, you may need to just let it install mysql, install snort and then unmerge mysql. _________________ What tha........ |
