this is for my promise ata133 card, why are the drives showing up as pio when the card reports them as in dma mode when it's booting. the drives showup in dma right off the bat. but the ones on the promise card show up in pio then later switch to dma. is this normal. |

might be normal, because those drives are not listed in your mainboard bios.
however, linux detects them correctly later on, so wheres your problem
//edit: e and f are hooked to the same idechannel. but one of them is DMA100 only, so the maximum of the other drive will not be DMA133, but DMA100 as well. a similar problem with a and b. you are waisting speed, doode. |
