Greetings,
I've got an emachines M6809 laptop (amd64, Radeon 9600 Mobility). I've got most things working in 64bit mode, but every time the system boots, the brightness on my LCD resets to the dimmest possible setting almost immediately after passing the bootloader (seems like right away when the kernel loads). This doesn't happen when I boot a 32bit OS.
I tried
Code: | taylor linux # cat /proc/acpi/video/VGA/LCD/brightness
<not supported> |
to see what it was set to, but obviously it's not supported. I think I have all of the appropriate ACPI modules built into my kernel, but I'm not 100% sure. Would there be any outside of Power Management Options? (such as Device Drivers?).
Does anyone have any suggestions about what I should look into next?
Thanks,
