Pessoal estou tentando instalar o Ethereal e no momento do emerge ele da pau!!
como faço para ajustar!

Estranho o download do ethereal 0.10.12 quando o estável é o 0.10.14 (O .12 não está nem na árvore). Faça um `emerge sync` e tente novamente.
Caso ainda dê errado após o sync:

Blz!! o "emerge --sync" Funcionou!!
Porem agora depois da instalação ele da 'seguinte erro!

Infelizmente não funcionou!!
nem se eu logar como root e tentar rodar
ele continua dando

já inclu o Gtk nas variáveis USE no make.conf
e mesmo assim tmabém não tá rolando!!! |

O mais correto nesse caso é iniciar o X através de um gerenciador de login (xdm, kdm, gdm), mas, para uma solução rápida:
| Code: | $ xhost +root
$ su
# ethereal |
Pode também exportar a variável DISPLAY e há outras gambiarras para isso também. Podes colocar o `xhost +root` no .xinitrc caso abras o X por startx/xinit/etc. |
