And the second one is...

* Mounting network filesystems ... [ ok ]

Id "c1" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
Id "c2" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
Id "c3" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
Id "c4" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
Id "c5" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
Id "c6" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
¹½more processes left in this runlevel

The system hangs after this.....the only way to recover is a complete system reset.

Anyone ever run into this stuff before. I am running an U60 SMP UltraSparc II CPU's. 1 Gig of ram. Kernel 2.4.32-r2

Thanks

After reviewing the forums more closely, I have found that others have had this issue, but the fixes they have listed so far are a no go for me.

That means you're using a serial console with no keyboard, just comment out the appropiate entries from /etc/inittab and disable keymap loading.

Thanks Gus. I found another post with that in it. Is there any trick in Making these Creator 3d Cards work? I think mine might be dead. I am using the console because I can't seem to get any video.

I will keep futzing with this.

I have another problem now, I get a "no more tasks at this runlevel" and then the system hangs.

Video output usually requires the keyboard to be plugged in when you power the machine on.
Dunno how the U10 (which has onboard video) handles the Creator, but usually you should set the output-device OBP variable to point to the correct device.
Usually output-device should be "screen" and the screen devalias point to the proper device path.
Then again you need a monitor capable of sync-on-green to plug it in the creator too.

The box that I am working on is actually an Ultra 60. The Creator 3d card is a SBUS card. I have never really screwed around with SBUS Video before.

I set the OBP back to defaults when I started seeing these weird issues, but that hasn't done anything.

The only thing that I have left to try is plugging a regular SUN Monitor into this machine. Right now it is plugged in via my CYBEX KVM. It is a 15 channel KVM Switch that has diffrent cables for just about any platform.

I am going to try a few more tricks before I give up on this. I can live without the video working for now, I just want this dang thing to boot. It boots ok from the Live CD, so I know it can, I just need to figure you what the issue is.

Thanks for the help,

No dice...... I still get to the same point and then the system hangs...

* Mounting network filesystems ... [ ok ]
¹½more processes left in this runlevel

I guess I have to throw in the towel and go with slowaris. I have been at this point for 3 days now, and cant afford to waste much more time.
