|
|
My car has an mp3 compatible CD player. In nero, I usually choose "Make mp3 CD" and it works fine. The only writer I have tried so far is k3b, but when I go to "Audio CD" I can only make 80 minutes, and if I do a data CD, the car can''t read the CD. Anyone know how to write mp3 cd's for car CD players that can play mp3's? |

Make a DataCD, thats what the mp3 drive reads. Nero just has a redundant link to the same function for MP3 CD and Data CD to make it easier for n00bs to use _________________ Dont make it idiot proof, make it work.

All you have to do is write the .mp3's to the cd as data?
I open Nero or k3b, make a new data cd, then browse and add any .mp3's i want and then burn,
simple as that.
Dont select 'Audio' because that will limit you to 80min and convert the .mp3 to .wav or .cdr.
I dont know why data cd didnt work when you tried it but that is how you do it _________________ trample the weak, hurdle the dead.. . |

Is there some extra thing I need to do maby? Like re-lable it, or some close to further writing option I need to choose? I've tried 3 times now, all to no avail. Do I have to fill up the whole disk? The disk I was trying to make was only about 400 MB |

no you don't need to fiil the whole disk. you could even test with just one mp3. Perhaps what is happening here is that your player doesn't like your naming convention. spaces or funky character.. try making a cd with short regular letters in the mp3 names. like 1.mp3 2.mp3 ...
also make sure you burn your cd's with jolliet extensions. you will find the option in the dialog that appears when you click the burn button. _________________ The only real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes! |
