|
|
I upgraded my system with a new mobo. I had to recompile my kernel because the new mobo had a different usb chip on it.
Now that I have the new mobo apache now says that / is forbidden.
Also...
I have two comps on my network. Linux is fetching mail and then serving it via pop3 to my Windows comp. This used to work until I got my new mobo. What is very strange is that pop3 access works from my Linux comp (localhost) which tells me the daemon is running fine. It doesn't work from my Windows comp. (it used to be fine). I get " connection unexpectedly terminated by server"
Netstat does not show anything listening to 110 and Code: | ps -ef | grep pop3d | yields nothing.
I am lost. It appears that the pop3 daemon is not running yet localhost access work. ???
Code: | /etc/init.d/courier-pop3d start | says OK.
I cannot find any log files associated with this either other than a logfile in my var/log/mail directory which says localhost login/logout. _________________ The strong must protect the Sweet. |

Well I gave in trying to figure out what happened. I re-emerged courrier and the problem went away. Go figure _________________ The strong must protect the Sweet. |
