I'd really like my MySQL data files to be in /var. Does anyone know if this is default functionality? If not, does anyone know how to modify the emerge, or give SETs, so that they end up in /var? Or if someone thinks the data files are best left where they are, let me know. Thanks! |

Well, I just examined my first ebuild file, lol. They're pretty darn easy to understand! Anyway, in care you're interested, current ebuild puts data files in /var/lib/mysql. |
