| Running evms hangs our HP hardware (xw4300, nx8300). Sometimes we gets a kernel panic, sometimes just a deadlock and no reaktion on networks and keybord, sometimes a reboot. I Have two machines (IBM + Asus P4P800) at home running root, swap and other on evms without any problem. On the HP I also get very slow md recover. Minimal transfer rate althoug there is plenty of avilable io bandwidth. Accessing the disks is fast though. Kernel is made with genkernel --evms2 all. All md options are compiled into the kernel (not modules). I'm running 2.6.14-gentoo-r5. Any ideas? |

Update:
Just tested vanilla kernel 2.6.14.2 with bbr patch added. Still lockups.
Also tested 2.6.14-gentoo-r5 with USB disk. Lockups. |

| Setting kernel stack size to 8k fixed the crashes. |
