i've got a bit a strange setup here on my notebook turning into problems. the notebook is a LittleBit brand. the touchpad used in it is shown to me as beeing a logitech wheel mouse. this gives me some headaches as how to deal with it. at first what my cat yields:
Quote: | cat /proc/bus/input/devices
I: Bus=0011 Vendor=0002 Product=0005 Version=0063
N: Name="ImPS/2 Logitech Wheel Mouse"
P: Phys=isa0060/serio4/input0
H: Handlers=mouse0
B: EV=7
B: KEY=70000 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
B: REL=103 |
i tried with the IMPS/2 protocol but that one is for a real mouse, not a touchpad coming along with those strange things like scrolling on the right edge and stuff like that. with that protocol the mouse works, but the scroll-buttons do not (but the scrolling using the edge of the touchpad does).
under GPM and XFCE4 the mouse works ok. under KDE though the mouse works and suddenly zaps around the screen not going back to work properly unless i press escape key or similar (including random clicks and alike).
anybody has an idea how i could tackle that problem? could i get things to work with the synaptic program? other ways to deal with a touchpad? _________________ DragonDreams: Leader and Head Programmer |
