| I have a user for each person in my family and on my one system it shows a list of users at the login screen by default with their picture. On this machine the list is empty. I checked control center and it seems to be enable. Is this a bug? |

It works here. Please make sure that you have set the option "Show list" in Control Center -> "Login Manager" -> "Users"-Tab. Also make sure that you haven't checked/marked any of the users in the list of "hidden users" right next to the option "Show list".

| I remember having similar problems with kdm, caused by user IDs not shown in kdm. kdm is by default configured to hide users with UIDs below 1000, so users with an UID below that won't appear in the user list. It can be changed in kde's control centre. |

Ive checked that too
Ive done 3 gentoo installs and 2 of em are fine just the one wont show the users in kdm... |
