Well. 1.3.27 has had a much longer time to be reviewed and debugged than 2. It's also being used by a lot more people. So. It _should_ be more secure and stable. At my work, we're running 1.3.27 on our production servers, and we're trying out apache 2 on our development servers. No problems yet.
Apache 2 has been considered stable since April 2002 or so, and hasn't had any major stability problems since then. _________________ I bent my wookie. |

I'd second that. Apache2 works flawlessly here, and we're working on a transistion for some of our productions. |

Apache2 is good. I was using it for a while but had to switch back to Apache1 as mod_perl is still unstable for Apache2. _________________ The true guru is a teacher.

Hmm. I've got apache 2 up and running, but I can't seem to figure out how to start it with xinetd. I know that with apache 1, you could set
ServerType inetd
in httpd.conf, but I can't find any documentation on how to do it with apache 2. Is this no longer supported?!? _________________ I bent my wookie. |
