Okay, I remember when I was young, there was cool hacked together demos for DOS and Win95, I was wondering if there were such a thing as a site with great linux demos, and perhaps any chance of getting some of the best in portage? 8)

i'm not entirely sure what you mean, but if you're after converting people to gentoo, then popping the livecd in and firing up the ut2003 demo is pretty impressive.

provided you have a geforce or better...

I think he's talking about scene demos. Made famous on the Amiga and the Euro scene parties. A good starting point is www.scene.org. Doing a search there turns up a few linux scene demos.

Yup. That's what I want. And in portage too. So I just can build a system, and at the end, just show some useless stuff to demonstrate Gentoo(and GNU/Linux') superiority. :o

http://www.lnxscene.org/ is a good start

they have state of mind and pulse... both compiled on my system...

http://optimum.sourceforge.net/ is a neat collection of code
