i am wondering why gallery needs xorg:

add -opengl to your use flags...
Its one of the libraries that gallery requires suddenly tries to install xorg. Something todo with a profile change i believe?! |

It appears that jasper with the use flag of opengl is the cause. Try putting -opengl use setting in your make.conf file.

thanks everyone.. i wonder why opengl is selected by default.. anyway, your suggestion solved the problem.
