Hi. Put simply, my problem is that my Ultra 60 with Creator3D card is stuck at 800x600. I cant select any other resolutions in KDE. Ive scoured these forums for similar problems and most seem to do with the screen section of xorg.conf. I've tried setting only one resolution in there and nothing seems to make a difference. My monitor is an LG L1710S tft panel.
Another thing i noticed is that the OpenBoot screen is squashed - as if open boot cant obtain a good res setting from my monitor. I can provide a photo if anyone wants a look
I don't know where to go from here so any help is appreciated
Cheers
-David
<<Edit>>
I've forced the OBP to boot at 1280x1024@67hz which lets me set all screen resolutions listed in my xorg.conf file within KDE. Only thing i dont like about this is that the console is a bit wierd at this aspect ratio. So what i would like to do is set the OBP to 1024x768 for console use but still have the availabilty to use 1280x1024 in KDE. Any ideas? |

AFAIK, there is no changing the resolution on the Creator once your Sun box has booted. Once it's up, you're at that resolution until next reboot. |

Oh well never mind. 1024x768 is good enough now that my sun box is running off an old 15" crt rather than my tft |
