Hi,
Is it possible to make a binary package after the package has been installed?
This because I've installed mozilla and want to recompile my system with GCC 3.1, but since there are problems with mozilla+plugiins+GCC 3.1........ _________________ Nope |

Well I don't think so, but it could be done using the /var/db/pkg/net-www/mozilla.../CONTENTS file, contains file type / name /chksum. Problem is what is files are overwritten by another packages or config files have changed, that's why build uses the /var/tmp/image directory to create its packages.
Btw. I'm using gcc 3.1, have compiled my system and afterwards installed gcc 2.95.3 and 3.1*. renamed the gcc-2.95.3 files in /usr/bin and use a script to link the files to the different versions, so I can build mozilla using the old compiler (after changing /etc/make.conf ofcourse). Plugins work fine then.
* Had some trouble getting gcc 3.1 to not overwrite my gcc 2.95.3 files so better use the emerge -b option while compiling 2.95.3 and maybe hack the gcc 3.1 ebuild.
