Does the installer say that or do you get this message after you installed gentoo? _________________ Please add [solved] to the initial post's subject line if you feel your problem is resolved. Help answer the unanswered

I'm working on two different stations and the gentoo station does not have any printer access. It says that I have screens but they are not configured. How do I configure them? |

after emerging xorg (or gnome), did you do any x configuration at all by running for instance Xorg -configure? _________________ there are pinheads everywhere.

Like zxiiro said, post the output of your X log file:
Code: |
cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log
|
If it's on a diff computer, just xfer it over the network via scp or something to the computer you're using to post on. |
