vlc plugin for firefox

I'm getting the following error when trying to use the vlc plugin for firefox.

/usr/lib/nsbrowser/plugins/libvlcplugin.so: undefined symbol: XtWindowToWidget
firefox-bin exited with non-zero status (127)

Any ideas where to start looking for problems?

Have you try to rebuild vlc, also what are you using binary firefox or normal?
I've found that in some way the vlc-plugin is still unusable, till now only mplayerplug-in works most of the time:)
