problem with setting up PPTP

Hi gang,

I'm trying to configure VPN and can't get ppp0 device to work
Documentation on pptpclient.sourceforge.net suggests to run `tcpdump -i ppp0` for diagnostics, but in my case it dies with "tcpdump: bind: No such device" error. Kernel has all ppp support compiled as modules, devfsd creates /dev/ppp device, all aliases seem to have got installed when I emerged pptpclient, but I'm obviously missing something here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
