Hi All,
I'm trying to perform an update of my Gentoo box (SPARC Ultra 5). The compile / emerge process fails with the following error message.

It seems you're using ~sparc, re-emerge linux-headers since it was fixed wrt to that a couple of days ago. _________________ Gustavo Zacarias

That fixed the problem. Thanks.
Any idea when the newer "baselayout" will be working? It obviously isn't "SPARC ready" just yet. When ever I do an update it is emerged and I have to roll back to the original version.
FYI I get a lot of tty errors with the latest baselayout |

What exactly do you mean by "it isn't SPARC ready"? I use it on several boxes, and the only problem I'm seeing is the stty one you mentioned. Bug #104067 is tracking this issue. |

Hmmm. That would be the problem.
I guess that there have been a few (testing) iterations of 1.12.X yet the problem persists. Since 1.12 is presumably an evolution of 1.11.X I'm just a bit surprised. From what I've seen so far with Gentoo the bugs get stomped on pretty quickly. (That supposed to be a compliment to the developers & testers ) |
