Hallo,

da ich mich die letzten Tage damit rumgeschlagen habe ein vernünftiges Automount einzurichten hier eine kleine Zusammenfassung zum Nachvollziehen.

Ziel:
Beim einstecken eines USB-Sticks oder dem einlegen einer CD soll das Medium eingebunden werde und nachher auch vom user wieder korrekt unmounted werden.
Dazu sollen keine fstab Einträge notwendig sein.

Software:
    kde 3.5
    hal 0.5.5.1
    dbus 0.50-r1
    ivman 0.6.6


Konfiguration:
Als erstes fügen wir ivman dem default runlevel zu.
Diese ivman Instanz dient dazu einträge die über fstab geregelt werden zu übernehmen und als Fallback für fehlende User Instanz.
Code:
rc-update add ivman default


Als nächstes benötigen wir eine per User Instanz von ivman damit der entsprechende User das Filesystem unmounten darf.
Ohne diese Einstellung erscheint zwar das gemountete Fielsystem zum Besipiel in KDE unter media:/ der User darf sie aber nicht aushängen. (Das hat mich bei der aktuellen SuSE schon geärgert)

Um diese Instanz zu starten nutze ich die Datei

/etc/xprofile

diese wird von kdm nach dem Anmelden als User ausgeführt.
Alternativ:
Code:
~/.xprofile

dort tragen wir ein
Code:
#!/bin/bash

ivman &


Wenn man jetzt noch in KDE einstellt das er gemountete Wechselmedien auf dem Desktop anzeigt hat man grösst möglichen Komfort.

Aus leidvoller Erfahrung heraus eine kleine Warnung: Benutzt auf keinen Fall sys-fs/udev-073 zusammen mit ivman. Aus irgendeinem Grund funktioniert damit das automatische Mounten nicht mehr. Seit dem Downgrade auf udev-072 läuft bei mir wieder alles wieder einwandfrei. :wink:

Hallo

Ich nutze auch ivman zum mounten.

Ich starte das System allerdings nicht über xdm sondern per eingabe von startx.

Wie lasse ich diese Instanz denn nun starten?

WM ist fluxbox

derflo:
entwerder über die .xinitrc oder wenn du in der xinitrc startfluxbox eingetragen hast
dann kannst du in ~/.fluxbox die startup datei verwenden.
die startup-datei in ~/.fluxbox wird von dem startfluxbox-skript ausgeführt.

Hm das habe ich beides schon versucht klappt nicht

hatte in die .xinitrc

ivman &
exec startfluxbox

das hat nicht geklappt

in der ~/.fluxbox/startup

hatte ich dann ivman & hinzugefügt


hat beides nicht funktioniert

Versuch bitte mal den gesamten Pfad zum aufrufen von ivman anzugeben.

Also habe den Pfad mal in die .fluxbxo/startup eingetragen , klappt nicht.

Was steht denn im log (/home/<username>/.xsession-errors),wenn du X startest? Funktioniert es, wenn du ivman in einem xterm startest?
