|
|
I just upgraded my kernel to 2.6.14.2 (vanilla-sources), and now x11-drm won't compile. I used basically the same .config I used for the previous one, I went through all the options to make sure it wasn't a configuration issue. Here's the error I'm getting, any help would be appreciated. Btw, I have VIDEO_CARDS="radeon" in /etc/make.conf
/var/tmp/portage/x11-drm-20050502/work/drm/linux-core/radeon_i2c.c: In function `setup_i2c_bus':

!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, NOT this status message.
I made sure all of the I2C stuff in the kernel is enabled properly, so I don't think that's it.

Solved by switching to ~x86 for x11-drm...apparently something in the kernel changed that required the package to be updated. |

Another one saved by using the unstable version
Anyone tought of puting a bug report in regarding this? From my search on the forum, looks like a lot of people are having issues with the stable version _________________ Someone asked me once if I suffered from mental illness. I told him I enjoyed every second of it.

As of July 2006, the problem still there. Installing on a 2.6.16 kernel, gave me the same issues.
Solved by doing the ~x86 _________________ " I'm Fat but at least Im not a Window"
