Is it just me or do these two emulators work much worse on linux than on windows? zsnes actually performs decently, but networking for multiplayer doesn't seem supported (best part of it, imo).
and visualboyadvance just works like... total crap. even after hours of playing with the config file and using gnomeboyadvance front-end (which basically doesn't even work), i just can't get the framerate and smoothness to anything sufficiently playable.
so i've decided to try doing a windows install as a virtualbox VM to run my emu and some misc stuff. or does anyone think that running the programs through wine/cadega work well enough?
what is some other users experience with emulation on linux in general? |

Try an earlier version of zsnes, that worked for me.
I didn't experience any problems the last time i used vba (apart from having to change the config file(s)).
Perhaps you could play around with the audio options. Of course, you can also try out gngb.
I like emulation on Linux, although i am too addicted to the internet to enjoy it . |
