I'd love to make a return to the Linux community, as I love the OS. I'd love to be able to do all of my regular work functions on a linux platform. My question is thus: I need to be able to perform all my normal administrative functions under AD (lock/unlock accounts, create/delete accounts, browse through AD, etc ... )
Is there a tool out there for that preferably with a GUI Frontend? Is it possible to run the Windows 2003 Admin tool pack for XP in a linux environment using Wine or something similar? |

What about terminal services/remote desktop?
I use rdesktop a lot to connect to windows servers and perform admin tasks like you describe, and I have found it to work flawlessly. |

That's certainly an option I was just wondering if there was a way to get my gentoo system to do all of that without me having to remote in anywhere, but if not, I could use rdesktop to do it without much trouble |
