I've searched around, but I couldn't find much useful information on that topic. I share a house and we've set up an AP using WPA. Now I want to connect with my TiBook, but wireless tools won't support WPA, and it seems that wpa_supplicant doesn't have a driver for the orinoco card? Did you guys get your Powerbook connected to a WPA-AP, and if so, which driver did you use?
Thanks,

Apple has added WPA support in February, 2005 for older Airport cards. I don't know if Linux has added that support yet. |

Yes, it works fine under OS-X. The drivers supported by wpa_supplicant are these:
Code: | drivers:
hostap = Host AP driver (Intersil Prism2/2.5/3)
prism54 = Prism54.org driver (Intersil Prism GT/Duette/Indigo)
atmel = ATMEL AT76C5XXx (USB, PCMCIA)
wext = Linux wireless extensions (generic)
ndiswrapper = Linux ndiswrapper
ipw = Intel ipw2100/2200 driver
wired = wpa_supplicant wired Ethernet driver |
(At least on my installation) I used to use wireless tools and WEP, together with the orinoco driver, and it worked. However, there's no orinoco driver listed for WPA, So I was wondering if people had it working at all, perhaps using a different driver. Hence my question
Thanks,
