(Im a Noob)
I got some problem when i try to install halflife.
When i : winex setup.exe
I get this weird error
I use a paid copy of winex
Code: |
winex setup.exe
wine: lstat /home/counter/.transgaming/wineserver-britney.fucked-up.net/socket : No such file or directory
|
Anyone have a clue?
I'v also tried to emerge winex but i then i get some errors:
Code: |
./library/libwine.so: undefined reference to `errno'
./library/libwine.so: undefined reference to `h_errno'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [wine] Error 1
!!! ERROR: app-emulation/winex-20021123 failed.
!!! Function src_compile, Line 69, Exitcode 2
!!! make depend all failed
|
Please help me... |

Just encountered the same problem myself. There are several posts on the Transgaming site about the first error, seems its a glibc problem. Apparently it'll be fixed in WineX 3.0. Until then I'm not sure if there's a fix. Some people who are having the same problem with the latest version of Mandrake say they've fixed the problem by deleting the ~/.transgaming/wineserver-xxxxxx/ directory every time they run winex, though that doesn't seem to work for me. |

Just to add some input to this thread, I get an identical X error message when running vmware now. Wine doesn't give that error since it only complains about the socket being invalid and quits. _________________ "There are 10 types of people: those that understand binary and those who dont." |

I get the second error, the errno thingy when emerging winex/winex-cvs...
Any solutions for that? |
