I tried emerging ipw2100 to install wireless and i got the following error:

Checking for suitable kernel configuration options:
CONFIG_NET_RADIO: is not set when it should be.
CONFIG_CRYPTO_ARC4: is not set when it should be.
CONFIG_CRYPTO_MICHAEL_MIC: is not set when it should be.
ieee80211-1.0.3 requires support for the AES cipher algorithms. |
Any suggestions?

recompile your kernel to include those things, if you can't find them in menuconfig or whatever you use, open up the .config in the kernel directory, find those three entries and change them from XXX is not set, to XXX=y
