Hello;

When I reboot ( for the first time after install ) I get on my netra T1 105:
* eth0 received address 192.168.1.101
* Starting vixie-cron ... [ ok ]
* Starting local ... [ ok ]
* Mounting network filesystems ...

and it locks.

I tried everything ( I think )

Kernel compiled with minimal settings : 2.6Mb after strip
Fstab cheked and double checked:
/dev/sda1 / ext3 noatime 0 1
/dev/sda2 none swap sw 0 0
/dev/sda4 /usr ext3 noatime 0 1
/dev/sdb1 /var ext3 noatime 0 1
/dev/sdb2 /usr ext3 noatime 0 1
none /proc proc defaults 0 0
none /dev/shm tmpfs nodev,nosuid,noexec 0 0
/dev/cdroms/cdrom0 /mnt/cdrom auto noauto,user 0 0

Did I missed something??

Hardware : Netra T1 105 , 512 Mb, 2 scsi HD 18Gb , external Scsi cdrom
/ 512Mb
swap 512 Mb
/usr rest of first HD
/var 4 Gb
/home rest of Second HD

Help would be very appreciated

a little breakthrough:

After installing openssh, I could log in with Putty.

Seems the system boots nicely and everything seems to work like a charm.
So , not a problem with the installation of Gentoo , but:

But how can I enable the lom port so I can see the boot process??

I tried in initab to uncomment the s0 but no good.

Somebody can give me a hint??

Have you tried adding ttyS0 to /etc/securetty ?

I think that was what made my Netra X1 work properly.
