Hello All,
I have just bought a Netra tt 1125 (which I'm quite excited about!) and I've got a few questions...
I would like to run this system more as a workstation than a headless server, so I need to add a few bits and pieces:
Graphics card - PGX32 or PGX64 (any reason other than price why I shouldn't choose a PGX64?)
USB2 adaptor - Something with at least 2 USB2 ports, I've seen that people have had success with certain adaptors, does anyone have a part number?
Sound card - I would like to put a SBLive! in it, however I have seen on these forums that people have tried and not had much luck - has anyone got any PCI (or USB) soundcard to successfully work?
And a silly SCSI question:
The machine has a UltraSCSI (Fast-20) interface which this website (http://www.seagate.com/support/kb/disc/scsirev.html) seems to indicate is an implementation of the SCSI-3 standard - so, this means I should be able to buy any CD-ROM (or CD-R) which claims to be SCSI-3 and it should work, correct? And, I should be able to boot from it?
Any help appreciated...
Thanks,
Simon |
