Hi there!
I have a little problem with the keyboard on my Ultra1.
With the latest sparc-sources kernel the keyboard worked fine on the console, but under Xorg it only worked about 50%. Last week I've found a forum post where the X keyboard support should work much better with 2.6.x kernel. So I've tried the latest gentoo-sources (2.6.13-r4). Now the keyboard doesn't even work in console mode. Does anyone know about this problem or which modules are required for keyboard support? Maybe I've forgotten something.
System:
-Sun Ultra1 Creator3D
-Sun Type5c keyboard (german)
Thanks

Hi!
I've already looked for that, and I know that forum post.
I tried several configurations, and it seems that I'm having the same problem with the latest Xorg version as frankOnPPC, who posted the last message in that forum. But at last I couldn't fix the X keyboard problem on the 2.4 kernel.
Now I'm primarily looking for a solution for my keyboard problem with the 2.6 kernel in console mode, not for X.
And for this problem I've only found some posts about wrong keymap settings and stuff like this, but nothing about completely dead keyboards.
That's because I've posted my question.
But I've found the problem, the sunzilog serial driver is required and the sunkbd driver has to be built inside the kernel.
Thanks anyway. |
