Vivas,

Estou a ter alguns problemas em conseguir por o Xorg (ou o kernel mesmo...) em reconhecer o meu rato USB. Tenho jah um post feito no forum "Kernel and Hardware", sei que nao eh muito boa politica por aqui um link para la..mas eh mesmo soh para evitar repetir informacao. Se alguem me puder dar uma ajuda ficava agradecido. :)

Já tentas-te ver se o problema é mesmo do kernel ou do xorg:

tenta executar isto:
bash
cat /dev/input/mouse0 e mexe o rato
cat /dev/input/mouse1 e mexe o rato
e por ai fora, vai testando os input's para ver se acontece alguma coisa

OK, o dmesg estava a queixar-se de problemas com IRQ e sugeriu adicionar alguns parametros de arranque:

acrescentei estas linhas ao grub.conf

O rato que tenho eh USB e funciona por wireless, sempre que ligo a peca a porta USB este eh detectado e vejo as mensagens correspondentes pelo syslog.

Ao fazer cat aos varios devices em /dev/input fiquei a perceber que o rato USB eh o device /dev/input/event1, estranhamente apenas se mexer o rato vejo "lixo" no monitor, se carregar nos butoes nao produz efeito nenhum.

Alterei o xorg.conf carreguei o Xorg, sempre que mexo no rato o Xorg bloqueia, embora consiga ver o cursor a movimentar-se por uns milisegundos.
Se deixar o rato sem qualquer movimento durante os segundos volto a ter um Xorg funcional.

Estranho?

O problema era um conflito com de IRQs, acrescentei as opccoes ao boot do kernel: irqpoll pcio=biosirq,useirqpmask
Agora nao tenho mais as mensagens: Disabling IRQ #10
Tenho a sensacao que com o kernel esta tudo OK.
Agora eh uma questao de conseguir encontrar a combinacao certa de Driver/Protocol para o xorg.conf
