hello everybody
i use gentoo on a alphapc lx164 600
onhttp://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/gentoo-alpha-compaq-tools.xmlthere is a link tohttp://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/software/alpha-tools/ee-license.htmli filled out that form for about 20 times now. no reply from hp. in any case
i wrote several emails to the hp support, but i gave up.
it seems like if the word "register" appears in a email you just get a auto-respond message which tells you "how to register a just buyed hp hardware product"
some emails later i reached a human beeing at the hp support who told me that i should disable my popup blocker and everything would work
the clue is: the website does not even try to open a popup
and everytime i fill out the form i get the message
Code:
Thank you! Your response has been sent.

since then, the support does no more answer my emails
so, what should i do now?
hp does not help me
any ideas?

They have not responded in 4 months for me, and they probably never will... They have other problems these days...

I had tried this a 100 times to still no reply. But the good news is that you dont need to register to get a working copy of ccc / cxx / cpml legaly!

all you need can be found here --> ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/linuxdevtools/latest/
these archives arnt encrypted.

here are some links to instructions to get it working.
