|
I just updated apache2, and now I get the following:
Code: | apache2: Could not determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 67.86.144.139 for ServerName [ ok ] |
Anyone know how I can fix this? |

Edit the field Servername under /etc/apache/httpd.conf
You should read a bit more on the forum. With this morning upgrade, apache changed it,s config file from apache2.conf to httpd.conf.
It got standardized.

I don't see a Servername field in httpd.conf. That's why I posted.
I don't have that field in the old configuration file either.
Should I set it to my hostname? Or should I set it to apache2?
Why is there no default value? |

Look under the httpd.conf you should get a field like #
Uncomment it and plance a hostname. the hostname doesn't have to be the machines hostname.
Mine is serverName Berta and the machine hostname is gateway.
the commented line IS in the httpd.conf default file.
Keep me posted |
