I used to have samba working as a primary domain controler using smbpasswd file, but I decided to try and use LDAP with samba now. I have the ldap working, and when i
Code:
smbpasswd -a -m machine
the entry doesget added to my ldap database. I have user accounts, adn an administrator and nobody account in the database as well.
The problem is that when I go to log on to the domain i get the error
Quote:
The system cannot log you on to the domain because the
systems computer account in its primary domain is missing or the password on
that account is incorrect

Am I missing something? I tried to use the import_smbpasswd.pl script that comes with samba, but it "Can't locate Net/LDAP.pm", which is installed.
Thanks,
Michael

well, I finally got it to work. I do not know exactly why, but by first remoiving the computer from the domain in windows, rebbot, and then joined the domain. everything seems to be working so far now. Hope this helps someone.
