I followed the n00b guide of setting up printer with cups.
all the way through, at the cups admin screen, all set.
when I click on Print Test Page, it gives me:
Netscape is unable to locate the server localhost.localdomain:631
Please check the server name and try again.
So, where I did wrong? my host settings?
Thanks in advance |

but it does printer stuff in OpenOffice
so, I dun consider this a big problem...
but wanna make sure there won't be any hidden effect...
I might share the printer through samba later, but haven't set it up yet. |

It's likely a bad "localhost" entry in /etc/hosts:
Make sure your "localhost" line looks like this:
Code: | 127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost |
