This is happening on a Pentium 4 computer but it looks like it's trying to run the i386 gcc compiler. During the config part of the build it's using the proper 686 version of gcc. Anyone have any ideas on what to try to fix this?

Quote:

/usr/bin/orbit-idl-2 ./GConfX.idl

Here's everything but my use flags from make.conf:
Quote:
CFLAGS="-O2 -march=pentium4"
CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"
CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}"

Try re-emerging/updating libIDL to fix.
Code:
# emerge -a libIDL
