Hi folks,
I`ve done what almost everyone has done at some point. Fiddled with something and broke their fonts.
I`ve installed KDE3.1, Gnome2.2 and everything was fine. I then installed enlightenment-cvs (e17) and unmerged it. That was when the fonts broke. I had this same problem a few days ago and a remerge of xft , fontconfig and freetype fixed it. But I've tried that its not working this time. I'd much rather know exactly whats going wrong this time for when it happens again.

Aha, sorted. Steps taken...
Unmerged, xft, fontconfig, freetype,
deleted /etc/fonts/font.conf
merged (in order) freetype, xft (which also merges fontconfig).
Everything back to normal again. |
