I installed f-prot about 2 weeks ago to run checks on files I store on my system for windows amongst other reasons. Anyways, I went to check my logfile I setup for it and noticed I havn't recieved anything from a scan in there for 2 days. I run it every day with crontab so I went ahead and copy pasted the command from crontab, which was previously tested and working fine from the cli then copied to my crontab, and noticed that it was segfaulting on me. Not knowing why, I synced and checked for an update as my first recourse. I saw there was an -r1 update but the same thing persists. I've removed the config files by hand, did an emerge -C f-prot, reinstalled the older working version, and then reconfigured everything including my crontab but I still recieve seg faults. Does anyone else know of any reason why it would seg fault? I havn't updated my system in days as I only do system updates once a month but do security patches daily. I can't think of any package I could try to remeerge that is a dependant of f-prot and equery hasn't helped. So if anyone has advice or a better virus scanner that detects linux/windows virri/trojans I'd appreciate it. Btw, already checked bugs.gentoo.org. It's never apparently had an issue. :X Not as f-prot anyways. |
