Hello, Maya 7 installs fine using the ebuild on https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-368631-start-0-postdays-0-postorder-asc-highlight-maya+7.html
However, when I attempt to run it:

Segmentation fault

and

$ /usr/aw/maya7.0/bin/maya.bin
/usr/aw/maya7.0/bin/maya.bin: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libExtensionLayer.so: undefined symbol: _ZTV16nsQueryInterface

I'm using GCC 3.4.4 and Glibc 2.3.5r-1
I have a feeling it has to do with the above and would definatly downgrade for Maya. Unfortunately I'm on a pentium-m and prefer to use the optimizations with gcc 3.4.4

i have gcc 3.4.3 glibc 2.3.5-r1 and maya 7 also crashes on startup for me

i can run it using bundled libraries ... seems using our own makes it unstable [if they don't match maya's suggested one]
