I'm still waiting on that 3rd retry but I think I'm seeing a pattern here...

Wait a bit, then do a emerge sync then try again.
It might be that all the files havn't got through to all the mirrors.
failing that, find the file and copy it to /usr/portage/distfiles and continue

I have the same problem but Google found the file here:

Just download it manually and copy it into your distfiles directory...

That solved it, but why isn't it on the servers? Maybe the maintainers should know about it lacking...
