One of the things holding me back from using gentoo all the time (apart from the obvious and well known gaming problem) is that I'm having trouble using japanese. I have to do some word processing in japanese, but i have not been able to figure out how to do this.
I know that the ebuilds probably exist, but i have absolutely no idea how to set up japanese. I have seen some documents online, but they were mainly for redhat/debian, but since I am relatively new to linux, I could not use them to help me. If anybody can help me, I would be grateful. On a sidenote, why are the fonts so godawful? The english fonts look nice (they were AA'ed right from the start), but the japanese characters are frankly a pain to look at .
Thanks in advance,

Sorry, looks like my googl'ing skills were a bit rusty.... after looking around for a quarter of an hour, I found the answer. Sorry about this .
