Hi, I would like to know how to avoid gaim sending "Closed conversation window" (not displaying, but sending) in MSN network,
there is an option for "send "typing"" thing but not "closed conversation window" it sometimes annoys me :)
any ideas?

Is that what you're looking for : "Display conversion closed notices" option, in MSN, under Tools -> Preferences ?
Hope this helps

You're right! I read your request to quick. Sorry.
I think that what you're trying to achieve is not compliant with the MSN protocol.
When you're in a conversation with a buddy, a switchboard session is open for this particular conversation. It is either close by a timeout, a window close or a disconnect. If the window closed message is not sent, the switchboard server would have to maintain tons of dummy sessions and this would have a huge impact on the server.
For details on the msn protocol, you can have a look at the following site : http://www.hypothetic.org/docs/msn/index.php

GAIM seems to report '... closed the window' whenever the other user (may only happen if he/she uses msn) changes focus or minimizes their IM client. Annoying AND weird.

EDIT: Oops. Guess I didn't read closely enough. Still find it annoying though.

you're right, I know now that its not something to do with gaim, but MSN protocol itself.
