Hi,

I've seen that Gentoo is running a project called "Gentoo Installer". I've got a question.
Does it exist any "Customized" LiveCD with the Installer on it, that working?

Thanks for reading.

Cheers
Rasmus

Then get real and do the full textual install - an anaconda-like install is for woosies anyway! I know, my mum told me so.

Bah, don't listen to those who say the graphical installer is for woosies. It'll be a nice addition for those who've installed enough times that you just get bored, create a xml and walk away.

The installer isn't released yet, it will be when 2005.1 is though. Which is fairly soon. I know that alpha has been working on theirs, so have the others. Just a matter of time.

Please also remember that the graphical installer is a primary release. Its bound to have a few bugs. If you want to read details about it, check out the #gentoo-dev and #gentoo-installer mailing list

I just completed an install using Vidalinux 1.2 for PPC on my Mac Mini. It was effortless and straightforward and in right at one hour I booted into a full GUI (Gnome) pure Gentoo desktop.

Don't get much better than that.

And I don't consider myself a wussy.
