|
|
I have an HP OfficeJet d145 connected to my PC through USB. I have set up hpoj, and emerged cups, hpijs 1.0.3 and foomatic 2.0.2. Yet when I try to configure the printer through foomatic I get Code: | mars etc # foomatic-configure -s cups -p HP-OfficeJet_D145 -c ptal:/mlc:usb:officejet_d_series -n OfficeJet -d hpijs
lpadmin: add-printer (set device) failed: client-error-not-possible
Could not set up/change the queue "OfficeJet"! | It doesn't work in KDE's printer administration either.
When I try to add the printer manually using the CUPS web config the printer model isn't listed in the HP driver set (none of the HPIJS drivers are listed there for some reason).
HPOJ is set up fine though; I can connect to the printer and use the compact flash card reader, and I can scan.
Anyone have any ideas? |

Once I read that hpijs didn't support HP OfficeJet printers, and that there was another driver that did the job, possibly HPOJ, I don't remeber.
Maybe you should check hpijs's documents at /usr/share/doc/hpijs*. That is, if you haven't already done it.
Good luck,
